When I write a block of text... and I searched this in my books... couldn't find an answer - but how to do make a carriage return? I mean? I can use the PRE tag, is that reliable? Anyway, how to do make text go into the next line, without making it into a new paragraph... Do I need to use tables? is that it? And this BR tag always gives an error message... (it looks for a /BR
I go to webmonkey.com, and that site is not helpful like it was 5 years ago... Anyone has a good site that gives simple HTML tutorials...
I've been working in print for the last 5 years... and I guess I got a little outdated with web design...
Thank you!

i'll email it to you if this doesn't get through
also - if you ever need any code just do it in dreamweaver and then look at the code - it'll tell you there.

Is there any way to see an HTML Tag in the PVN???!
Single and double quote doesn't work, ass well as escaping the brackets.

nope, jerry. that's just the way it is.
makes sense if you think about it.

_salisae
Yes, it makes sense, but I should be able to render it as a string.

breaks should work...
if youre in DW just push shift+return.

http://www.w3schools.com has some very good tutorials and examples

Shift-return in GoLive too (took me 3 years to notice that).

/BR is no good.
/br is XHTML.
br and BR are the same in HTML.the w3schools site is good in how it allows you to play with their examples.

http://www.w3schools.com is the way to go. If you can use CSS, and hopefully you can convince the client that this is the way to go I'd go that path. Faster and fatter downloads, right?
