What's the difference between kingston, and generic brands other than cost. Is there a noticable performace difference? What do you recommend?
Thanks

They (being non-names) aren't necessarily worse performance wise, but I would personally never buy memory that didnt come with lifetime warranty. It's such an important part of the computer that rules out compromises with the price, IMO.
I use Kingston and they rule.

brand should affect only reliability, not speed.

other world computing has great prices and a lifetime warranty. My grandmother is an Apple fanatic and she said all the techs she knows use it.
