i quit after a leg injury plus i was in college and didn't have time to skate anymore.
and FYI, i snowboard. shit! a snowboard is attached to my feet too! what will the snowskaters say of me!

I think there is a lot of gay rollerbladers, yes.
But there is also a lot of gay skateboarders and snowboarders.
The way the behave on the park has nothing to do with what you are doing, I think is more about the person.
But usually they are mainly kids.I think both sports taked to that extreme have a lot of potential, but you only get respect, if you can back up the shit you say you can do.
We can all sit down and discuss for hours how great shima or danny way are. who can jump higher ? who cares, who has more style? who cares, that is very subjective.
I would like to see how many of you that keep talking shit about each other can pull out any of those tricks..
Wether you skate , snowboard, or blade.

you know i'm just having fun, bored at work. i'm freakin 32 years old been skatin since i was 12 for fucks sake. but you know what, talkin shit is a part of our culture. showin a little grit and telling a fruitbooter to fuck off is fun for us, and that will never change. ;-)

cess slides are a stacey peralta trick from the 70's. you can misapproriate it all you like, doesn't change the fact. it might be sheer coincidence that someone called cesar invented a trick, but the pun wouldn't exist if not for skating and therefore it wouldn't have been named that.
the reason fruitbooting is gay is that it borrows. you don't see any skate tricks named after rollerblade moves. its always vice-versa.
something else that annoys me, how many skateparks exist as a result of rollerbladers getting their collective shit together? (or fs bmx'rs for that matter)

the skatepark from my hometown was built and designed by a team of 6 rollerbladers, 5 skateboarders, and 3 bmxers. The guys that i used to skate with are all off doing different things now. One of them went to the X Games a few years back and got like 3rd place in the street course, one of them lives out in L.A. now skating with Feinberg, Latimer, Zamora, etc... and another films snowboarding movies out in B.C.
None of them are gay and all of them could show awesome skill in the park. Even the skateboarders who stood around bitching all the time at us stopped to watch and, every once in a while, give respect.
Of course, there were always the little 14 year olds with their helmets and pads and UltraWheels skates that would toss their flailing bodies around the park like ragdolls and make us all look just a little bit dumber for wearing blades but even we made fun of the little grommets.
The one thing that everyone at the park (bladers, skaters, and bmxers) could agree on, we all hated those 12 year olds on scooters trying to do tricks. Oh, and we all were just there to have a good time so who cares what's on your feet?

Oh, and picking out rollerblading for "borrowing" trick names is pointless. Snowboarding, skateboarding, surfing, blading, and skiing all have a few tricks with the same names like Mute Grab, Stalefish, frontside/backside grinds, etc... but that's basically where it ends.
Blading tricks have original names too that weren't borrowed from skateboarding, same with skiing and surfing.
Look at it this way, you consider yourself a designer right? What's the difference between a GRAPHIC designer, an ARCHITECTURAL designer, and a FASHION designer? they've all "borrowed" the name of designer right? So does that make us all gay? No, just the fashion designers :P

I thought rollerblading was only used in crowd scenes for films shot in Miami?
