buy turntables and a mixer had them a few years ago but had to sell to pay bills wanting to buy again but dont know if i should really want to but holding back for some unknown reason

yeah. It would be awesome to have them if you had money to spare. Otherwise, don't get them. I'm thinking they're not a necessity.
But again, if you'll use them a lot then buy them.
