American guy on holidays in the UK waiting for a bus in the driving rain.
Local walks over and greets him“Lovely day isn’t it?’
The yank pauses for a minute, its clearly raining and the man is soaked, he looks puzzled at the man
“But its raining and your all wait!’ says the yank
“I was being sarcastic” say the local.
“Ahhhh!’ says the yank, “I see now, thanks for explaining”.
Chuffed with his new found way of dealing with a bad situation he can’t wait to bring it home the U S of A”
So a few months later he’s out in the back yard with some friends cooking some burgers but they get burnt.
At last he thinks he can use some sarcasm here. So he turns to his friend and says“Lovely weather isn’t it!’

nice one salise - and toe knee. i've come across heaps of people that confuse irony with sarcasm - never really understood it.
