Welcome to part 2 of this fight. A while ago (...a long time ago), I asked everyone which one of the two would win in a fight (no weapons). I got lots of good replies but I want more. I'm greedy like that.

where does this battle take place? astronauts are highly skilled at building deadly tools from available materials, where as cavemen are highly skilled at gathering delicious berries and fruits.

Situation 1) Let's assume that the combatants are in the woods. The astronauts have contemporary spacesuits but are not necessary for surviving the surface conditions on the planet. The astronauts nor the cavemen will have access to modern weapons. For the sake of this survey,
Situation 2) Takes place on another planet. The rest is the same as above.

are the cavemen homosapiens or neanderthals? and yes, it makes a huge difference.
- welded0
Ya, advantage astronaughts because they have brains.
- Jaline0
I don't know. There are so many factors that come into play here.
Maybe you could just make up your own assumptions. I may be using these for a project (that I've been working on for like a year).

why can't they just get along? did the astronauts steal their delicious berries and fruits? or are they just prejudiced like in that movie Planet of the Apes? I vote astronauts.
- Jaline0
I'm not sure why they can't get along. I'm just fascinated by the question, as it involves a lot of thinking. I'm weird.

they wouldnt fight. they would make sweet sweet love. their offspring would be know as cavestronauts and they will rule the world with their spacesuits made from deer hide.
tru dat.

The caveman would win.
He has the animal instinct to fight to the death, he has no morals, and will kick a guy in the nuts when he has too.

- waaaaahaha! Yes! Remember the sad brown one who thought he was from the future but was really from the past?flashbender

if the astronaut is a young Captain James T. Kirk, then astronaut wins, otherwise, caveman. Unless the caveman is RIngo Starr in the movie Caveman, then it doesn't matter who the astronaut is, they will win.

Many people have a different image of caveman, but the average height of an Australopithecus caveman (who just barely learned to walk btw) was 1.0-1.5 meters, which is like 4 feet, around your height, Jaline
But as we know even modern chimpanzees who are comparably small, are much stronger than humans
But I would still go with astronaut, mostly because of greater body weight, esp if the fight ends up with grappling in a clinch

I recon the cavedudes would be pretty cunning, they would need to be good hunters to stay alive with the lack of tools they had. Plus they would be in a familiar landscape of which they would have all the local knowledge.
Having said that, a few of the astronauts might have seen predator and be down with the boobie trapping techniques.
Could go either way.

caveman would own an astronaut.
