im working on a website for a print company and wonder what would encourage you to move from your printer to another company, and what sites are targeted at designers as i can only think of jewelboxing and medtatemple (and loads of tshirt sites but they dont count

location can be compensated with solid delivery and interesting shipping charges though. trickiest part is though how to sell the quality / make people believe that the work is outstanding.

Yeah, recommedations from trusted colleagues helps. I've had bad expirences with printers not sealing business cards, cutting stuff badley, all sorts. I like to go and see any new printer before they get the job or the artwork

yeah very true blofeldt. most of the time the uncertainty is the reason people stick with their printer. now if you can overcome that it might work. then again, if your prices / possibilities are good it'll grow automatically. may be slow but it grows. due to word of mouth.

i agree with undoundo. in addition to quality (obviously), i like printers that make recommendations, etc.
a printer that knows the printing process extremely well provides me with one less thing i need to worry about.
