Retrospect is the industry standard... incremental, scheduled, etc
(Didnt we just go through all this like, yesterday?)

Lacis has a free backup utility called silver keeper
http://www.lacie.com/silverkeepe…you dont need a lacie drive to use this
Duover is a file sync app for mac os x
http://macupdate.com/info.php/id…or if you want a true backup utility try Dantz Retrospect

retrospect is good, although you have to use the software to retrieve the backed up data, it also takes longer to verify discs and stuff... id only reccoment retrospect if you are doing like gigs and gigs of data

again, why not use rsync???

The point with Retrospect is you rarely need to retrieve stuff if you are using it as intended, to provide multiple-version copies of stuff that is still held in a more immediately accessible form on another computer.
Restoration is not that hard..just restore a whole folder if you arent sure what file you are looking for...
