> Set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequ... to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once.
Isn't that a bit unfair on the folks paying for the server bandwidth, not to mention the other site users who will get pushed delayed response? What if everyone does it?

Some more config tweaks you can do to make Firefox run faster. (type about:config in the address bar or edit user.js directly).
Along with using an optimized build for your cpu (http://www.moox.ws/tech/mozilla... and using XP's Prefetch ("C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" /Prefetch:1) if you run XP, Firefox can be made noticeably snappy.

I just downloaded that there firefox this morning, and did the tips on here and all I have to say is I feel like I'm looking at stuff off my harddrive.
DSL was meant to be exploited like this!

congratulations, mg33. Though I'm surprised it took you so long to jump on the FF bandwagon. What were you using before?

No matter the number you set network.http.pipelining.maxreque... to as long as it is 8 or higher. 8 is the max number of requests it can handle at once. So either if you put 30 or 100, it won't handle more than 8. Which is not bad at all. Congrats to the newcomer. FF is the only way for PC users.

Can someone have a look at my band site's photo section and tell me if when you click a photo it opens up in the pop-up window AND a new browser window in FF?
Not sure why it's happening, works fine in IE.

// Last value in milliseconds (default is 250)
user_pref("nglayout.initialpaint... 0);Putting that on the userChrome.css file will render elements faster.

mg33...it happens in safari as well...set the hrefs in the thumbnail links to "#" and it should work properly

thanks, will give it a go.
Anyone know why my scrollbars don't appear as they are customized to appear?
Before I changed from the default theme in FF, the scrollbars were just typical Windows scrollbars.
The customized scrollbars on both my sites were not working.
