too powerful?
i dunno, i think any company needs to be sufficiently powerful to challenge the dominance of microsoft et. al. These thigns just make sense, Google need to be more than just a search engine otherwise they'll get all propa usurped by microsoft and get left behind. With microsoft already developing a rip off search engine and it's monopoly on desktops and browsers etc...

..thats exactly the point. I'm just a small web developer and have not really a clue about the big view, yunno?
Just wanted to get some other oppinions.
Btw: I like Google, no misunderstandings here.

so far, i prefer google's vision of the web over MS's 'rent our shit' vision. Speaking of which, MS is releasing a rented version of outlook. Haven't seen google charge for anything but ad space yet.
