good point. there's no museum or curator for old versions. except some copies on some machines. or a screenshot in a book. then again that's the internet.

deconstruct, i've tears welling up in my eyes while looking at it now
i remember the first time i saw the viaduct site.
it was in 1999 i think and that was a time i was already impressed by seeing a 'real' percentage preloader in flash.
and this one had a preloader with waves.together with the design-museum website it was a reason for me to take a dive into unstable media.

yeah there are archives of old websites, 30 billion

i am aware of the wayback machine but most of those don't work toulouz or show new and old combined. not really a proper archive.

this is what made the late 90's a success

true

great idea - as i get unlimited webspace and sub domains (nt only with unix for additional £10 p.a.) if anyone wants to send me old sites i'll set up an archive :)

no need to translate, great word
- rabattski0
zeitgeist can't really be translated in a proper way. but i think in english they use it just as it is. just like the word angst.
- rabattski0
yall prolly know this one.

The spirit of the age, or often the phrase here and now is used similarly as in "the here and now" "in the here and now" but then that can only be used in the present tense and not in the past as in "the Zeitgeist of 1999" correct, but the "the here and now of 1999 incorrect"
I dont know exactly what i'm talking aboot but it seems to make sense
