buying 1st PC

I'm looking to purchase a PC for testing purposes.
It needs to run IE 6. And be inexpensive. That's pretty much it.
What is the minimum requirements I should be looking for?
Where should I look?
Can you point me to a decent craigslist PC or ebay?
looking to spend less than $200-$300.

i see a buncha stuff on SF CL that "will do" in that price range. or you can get something barebones off pricewatch.com. screw ebay tho, it's a waste of time.

no, it's not a good computer, but it'll run IE6
pop for more ram tho.

just go to a local no-name shop (the chinese oem ones around here (ny) seem to work best for me) and talk to someone ... i'm sure they have something lying around that will do the job at the cost... and they will be happy to offload it at ANY cost, pretty often...
this stuff is so freakin abundant, i guarantee you you could dumpsterdive what you need, without problems
