I just whipped up a site comp for a potential client.
i know it is a little 2a looking but the parent company is a 2a site and that is what they like

replace out the photos and illustration of the woman, and it would be nice. Buttons are a bit large though, no?

nice...a couple of thoughts:
i think the pixel font in the header looks like it is squished vertically and kerned a bit wide...the upper (light colored) glassy swoosh on the main nav competes with the white type a little at times...and the scroll bar / arrows seem a tad small so make sure the hit states are larger than the images for smoother interaction...
minor issues tho...good overall

drop the drop shadow down some and try and see what it looks like just having the drop shadow to one side or the bottom. its lookin good so far!!

I would take control of her rack.

my first thought was, "damn big type on those buttons." take that for what it's worth.
i'd stick with the lighter typeface for "member login", "news", etc., like used for "rack control system".
not too into using a pixel font for the top nav and anti-aliased type for the bottom nav. i'd stick with the anti-aliased font for both.
overall it's solid. just sort out the type issues.

the type on the bottom is actually going to be HTML, not an image. so i feel that will fix it's self.
I think your right about the members login, I will play with that a bit more,
kinda hard to figure everything out, i started this last night at 8pm and just got done at 8 this morning. few naps, and lots of coffee later of course
