Layout table background colour - firefox

  im just creating a html site in dreamweaver and wen i create a layout table to place layoutcells in, when i set the background colour it doesnt show in firefox but does in xplorer , whys is this? and is there a way round it?

  Dinnae use tables. DIV tags an' CSS, espeshully if yer needin' it tae wurk in Firefox.

  cheers i just applied a ccs style to the table and that fixed hte problem :D
