Did anyone see the channel4 program "Anatomy for Beginners" last night. They performed an ortopsie on a man and cut away his skin in one go. It looked like they where taken of a jacket.
Amazing to watch if hard to look at.

it's on over 4 nights. Last night, tonight, tomorrow night, and the day after
11pm ish on C4.
The explain how everythign works so it's not all "ewww, it's all gooey".

brilliant. i'm in.
the greatest thing about bodyworlds was that it was an invitation into the inner sanctum of the uncanny (and i mean in the original "unheimlich" sense, yeah?), which is more about the humor and terror of the scatological than anything.
that guy is really adept at brining to the fore this big fait accompli of flesh really actually being matter.
shock horror! i know. but it freaks the fuck out of most people.

aye para',
there were people in the audience who were totally cringing when the good doctor took a electic saw and chisel to the back of the guys head and popped out the brain, but then when he said "this is the most complex thing in the known universe" and it looked nothing more than a blamonge, i was like... woah.

I went too the exhibition in Brick lane. It was a really odd sensation. Best exhibition I have ever been too.

i'm curious about the strange kinship between this and the burn's day thread...

That brain was a bitch to get too. He had to hammer the hell out of the gay head. At one point I thought his head was going to come of.
I always thought the brain was a soft ferm matter. Its like jelly.
