Go see it when it comes out - it's bleedin' hilarious! Saw it in Hk over xmas - much better than shaolin soccer

looks promising! i read somewhere that it uses alot of nice cgi aswell.

im really curious to see how westerners would think about it, i mean, its much better than shaolin soccer, but it still has the flaws that made ss bad. like the over comical stunts, and such.
with that aside i thought it was better than i expected, especially the first half, some great ideas and artistry.
but it sorta just drifts away as goes along..
hope im not spoiling too much

I think it looks interesting but I doubt I know anybody that would go see it. I think the biggest thing it has over Shaolin Soccer is it's not about soccer. Not to speak for an entire hemisphere, but nobody here gives a rat's ass about soccer, even if it's kung foo soccer.

shaolin is way better..

I've only seen part of the DVD but my first impression was Gangs of New York meets Chicago. It looks really funny and cinematically beautiful.
I haven't seen Shaolin Soccer. Should rent it as a primer before I watch the whole movie.

I have it on DVD, not as good as Shaolin Soccer, but it's a different kind of movie.
I give kudos for showing how important and effective footwork is during the final fight sequence.

Nobody here likes soccer? pfffstttt! What tree do you live under? Or did you just wake from a coma? Soccer is big here... and its only going to get bigger... not as big as the rest of the world... but noneless on its way.

Yuen Wah and Stephen Chow's Legend of the Dragon was quite interesting considering Jimmy White made a guest cameo.

hell yea. all this stuff before king of comedy was really funny, obviously in a lo-fi kinda way, but that was what made him so good.
but he definitely took a giant step and i admire his success in acheiving something like kung fu, regardless of how i disliked it.

Don't watch KFH before watching Shaolin Soccer. It's a shame the actor who played Iron Head isn't in KFH. I think he won loads of awards for his portrayal of a total loser who gets pissed on (repressed Stephen Chow memory perhaps).
