So I made my stage transparent, and it seems to chug my animations. If I run it with the stage visible it works perfect, but as soon as it's transparent it's chug city. Anyone have any advice on how to get around this?

That tends to happen when you make your stage transparent. I don't know if there is a workaround.

setting wmode to transparent really effects mac/safari and mac/firefox... it considerably slows down the frame rate the player can handle...

You can set quality = LOW, the graphics is gonna suck and your animation will run faster.
