As far as the gift thing goes - i always suprise the wif with a theme basket from different places. try this one out.
Get one cool retro looking makeup box or bag and fill it with romantic stuff like one of those lavender sented buckweat pillows - a gel mask - some $30 a bottle shea butter hand cream - some trendy lip gloss and a kama sutra deck of cards (or some other dirty game) - she will love all of the little stuff and can use the bag later, she will love that you took the time to put together something just for her.

go get yourself some empty pills from the pharmacy......
get 14...take the empty pills and open them ......take little tiny paper notes..... i.e. stuff that you will do.....foot massage, take her out to dinner wherever she wants, a movie that you DON'T like let her pick, shopping day, indoor picnic, etc....
take a label and put it on the side...... say take 2 a day......for one week.....
you can extend v-day for a whole week and I am positive you will get lots of love for the whole week you do this...
how long you been together and are you gonna pop the question soon......cause if so I got an idea that will blow you away.....

The best thing you can do is find out what she likes to eat and cook your own meal...and even better, cook together! Going out is for suckers. Waste of time and money. And for gifts...make it yourself! diamonds are just rocks with a name...save that mumbo jumbo crap for something special like engagements, weddings, other other crap you do when youre super commited. Enjoy man.
