i am planning on reformatting my PB, to do a clean install as osx is acting weird. anyways, im wondering if it is possible to just send my apps folder to a PC HD, along with registry keys/equivilent so i dont have to install every app again.
or is there another way to solve this?

reinstalling is the best way to go. honestly... i'd tell you to short cut it but that hasn't worked well since 10.

...
you may want to look into it.
you don't need to take my word for it.

it took me about 3 hours total to install OSX and all my apps again.
Its not that bad. Also.. it is better to reinstall your software after a format.

yep, i was going to reformat it as well.

be sure to "write to zeros" or whatever it is. it's even slower but really cleans things out.

dude- use Carbon Copy Cloner and copy your User folder

If your Mac was just 'acting weird' you could have tried the first option in the Installer... which reinstalls in the existing System folder and doesnt require reinstalling apps....and then if that doesnt work you go to option 2 'Archive and Install', and if that doesnt work you go to 3 'Clean Install', etc...

you can also try creating a new "User Account" sometimes your problems are just within your account and not the system.
