Such powerful things.
One of my favourites was just before I left London my friends and I all went out to a chinese restaurant for a farewell dinner, after which we proceeded to the karaoke lounge - about 30 of us.
I was off my tree pretty much and unbeknownst to me someone had put my name down on teh list.
So when the compare announced my name and then 'Summer of 69' I nearly keeled over.
Luckily I was pissed enough to do it.
Looking back at the video now it's all I can do not to laugh myself into convulsions.
Some pissed old lady who was there with a girl's night out jumped me after I had finished, and you can actually see my doing air guitar to the solo. I think it's worth me pointing out that it's note for note perfect by the way.
Have a great weekend all of you.

hahah awesome!! What I would do to get a glimpse of that video!
Also, like we talked about earlier today – did you do the "six string" or the "sex dream" version?

Yep, things like that are priceless jevad. Things like that...I've always said I could survive prison just fine, all things considering, because of many great memories like the happened yesterday.

And, for kicks jevad, the friend I moved to Chicago with - he did alot of botched cover songs with his own special spin to them.
We changed Summer of 69 to feature the lyrics "That's when I got you in a 69! Oh yah!"
and
"She was the best lay of my life."

My best memory ever:
I was in a snowy town high atop a jagged peak. The town had huge stone walls around it. 2 of my friends and myself were at the bottom of the peak. All of the townspeople were panicing and running toward the town. They were screaming, "the swifties are coming" and acted like this was armagedon. We didn't know what swifties were but decided we should head towards the town to the safety of its stone walls. We reached the city but the gates had already been closed and baracaded so we decided we would have to stand and fight. We readied ourselves with swords and waited for the battle. Soon we could see the sky filled with millions of objects that were zooming at us at an incredible rate. They came within view, these objects of so much fear and anxiety were white bunny slippers with pink ears and noses. I started to laugh but then they started to attack and we were all getting our asses kicked. I remember right before we got f*ed up I thought how embarassing, getting our asses kicked by animated bunny slippers.

i suck at telling stories but one of my best memories was the night before i moved to San Francisco, in Montreal with my friend Greg.
Funk Brothers concert at the Jazz Fesitval + tons of beer + Backwoods on top of a shed on the top of a huge hospital parking garage 3/4 the way up the mountain with the sickest view of the city while pumping tunes out of Greg's powerbook.
great times.

Do you ever wonder how many more times you'll remember a specific memory before you forget it entirely. I think the "Last On Screen Interview with Brandon Lee" brought up this point. How many more times will you remember something before it gets pushed out of your memory altogether? I used to think that my weird-ass memory couldn't forget hardly anything, then I read notes or my dayrunner from highschool, college or something and I can't believe how many things i've already forgotten.

Mayo that is a really good point!
When i was home for xmas I found a chest that had all these letters from High School and I started reading them and all of a sudden all these fucking crazy memories and people came flooding back...things I hadn't thought of for 10 years...people whose names I had forgotten and faces I could now see clear as day.

It's funny. I was reading an Uncle's war letters recently from WWII. It's almost like I have memories of him having those memories. strange...

i live in the present cause i can't remember the past.
