Ok, so I'm going to design a photography book for a famous la photographer who recently took a 3 week trip and shot the citizens living their normal life throughout all the chaos. (it has nothing to do with the tsunami).
half shots will be color and the other bw. i'm looking for paper suggestions for the book. it will be clean cut using a sans serif and copy will be kept to a minimum. i was thinking some sort of satin finish but i'm not to familiar with paper for a coffee table type of photography book. any suggestions?

nice..thanks.. any experience suggestions as to what makes the image pop..we're going to keep the entire book a rich black with single image pages and a couple full bleed.. but we really want the shots to explode off the page

not sure, unless you mean lighting or photoshop touch ups? or do you mean for the paper...?

paper wise... because i know certain papers absorb inks differently so we want something to make the images pop off the pages..i was thinking even have some sort of uv coating but we'd rather just have simple paper and nice finish on it

Scheufelen PhoeniXmotion is a great No. 1 grade sheet. Beautifully smooth with a unique finish.
