hey y'all, i'm building a new cms site for the charity that i work for. it's a wicked cause and a lovely site (says me!). the trick is that now we have to translate not only the site but the back-end as well (so that the foreign offices can use the cms). so if any of you are available/keen on looking over the translations of the cms categories, etc. into any of the following languages, i'd really appreciate it (the translations have been done, but by anthropologists, not designers, so i'm not sure that they'll be technically correct):
spanish
french
italian
dutch
germanmany thanks,
your ever-lovin'

how or why do you speak catalan!?!? well done!
- paraselene0
per que vaig viure a bcn pels anys. pero, soc dels etats units. i ara visc a londres.
it's alright. i'm thinking of moving back to barcelona. there are a number of jobs for trilingual designers - amazingly!
- paraselene0
ehe! y estarás a bcn para primavera? todavía no he comprado els tiquets, pero pienso venir.
hi haurá MOLTA festa. t'agradarias molt els meus amics catalans, segors. tots disenyadors també.
- CaP0
wow, i'm impressed with your catalan... how long did you live here?
i'm definitely going to primavera sound, although the lineup isn't defined yet.
in www.primaverasound.com there's a forum where people can actually "choose" who would they love to see live.
call me if you are around barcelona. the first round's on me.
ah, and i'm actually from chile, but i've been living here for almost 2 years, and i'm not leaving this city for almost anything in this world.
- paraselene0
yea, i remember you saying you were chileno when you first turned up at nt. i really dig barcelona. i was there for about two years ('97 - '99). best years of my life *sniff*.
i posted a link to the primavera sound website in pbs in early december. they had a deal that you could get tix for something like 60 euros if you bought them before 2005.
the rumors of the lineup are wicked, and i think it's worth taking the chance, so i'll definitely see you in barcelona! whereabouts do you live? i was always a gracia girl, but now most of my mates live really close to the centre.
- CaP0
yup. i remember my first post, and somebody replying in catalan. checked it out, and it was you. thus my confusion.
i'm constantly cheching the primaverasound site, to see if any of the rumours turn out to be true. i'll post anything interesting, as soon as there ir something to be posted.
i actually live in vallcarca, which is beside gracia (to the side of parc güell), so i hang out loads in gracia.
i prefer the center, though... more bars.
*looks outside the window, drooling*
- paraselene0
definitely. gracia used to be the shit, but now it's gone all pijo. can't afford to live there anymore.
i know vallcarca! it's nice there.
we'll definitely see one another at primavera, then. i've been waffling over whether or not i wanted to go to sonar, but i'm starting to think that primavera is just going to be more fun.
naturally, i'll try to swing both.
; )
