Just turn up like you work there anyway. As a back up create a fake letter detailing how much they loved your resume and how much they need you.
C now u dont have to write one!

Mail them a treasure map of how to get around the web to all the sites you have done, where you went to study and things you enjoys.
make it look like a real treasure map, burn edges and stuff.
Check lobo's stuff for Deisel for inspiration

you should send a promo and work your resume into it. You are the product, go sell yourself!

I would send a properly formatted resume.
Dont mess with that. I'm in a creative management position and I interview quite a few candidates. I never liked people getting creative with their resumes. Leave your folio to speak your creative ability.CV's are serious documents.

I had to whip up a resume last night. Good to hear people agree that a clean, no-nonsense document is the way to go. It's shit because I just got out of school and have no real practical experience, but that beside the point.

I do some work with students to help them with their CVs. Always recommend that clear and simple is the way to go - well typeset, no spelling mistakes, lots of white space and a quality bit of paper. Creative bit should be your work, or if you want to add some quirks in about yourself like favourite song lyric/distinguising marks if you really really have to!

as said before: no-nonsense, black & white, clean, and most importantly it should be 1 single page...
tho i keep getting "we don't have a position for you right now" so who am i to give advice :) hehe

hire a nice looking lass to hand the CV to employers.
