I love this browser, but it just kills my nerves on OSX when displaying flash.. crashes often+the swfs are more like a slideshow sometimes..
Is that only a CPU issue (I have a PB 667) or also happening on G5s?

I get that a few times using an emac. lotsa people ask me to reinstall back Firefox.. perhaps it should help.
I also got a question, in firefox, it seems that the .swf doesnt support TRANSPARENCY mode. where i use to animate an iblaster/banner for a portal... getting a bit annoy and if there's any guru that can help me.
Thanks!

I'm on PC and I can see the background on this site
http://www.ground.ie/
when the swf is set to transparent.
Can it be seen on a mac (it's fabric if you can't see it!)

firefox does support transparency add wmode = "transparent" into the object tag and all will come true!

My G5 1.8x2 w/ ff 1.0 can be a little slugish. But my G4 1.0x2 w/ff 1.0 at home is fine. It's weird, they have the same install, but the slower cpu run faster.
My xp w/ ff 1.0 does run VERY slow for timeline AND AS tweens (FYI).
Incidentally, I've tried to report all of the above to Mozilla but their reporting system is insane to try and navigate. I gave up after an hour...

get a pc?

It is a bug in Firefox that has to do with Color rendering...
If you hold down the mouse button it all runs smooth for some reason.. but you cant click on anything because your mouse button is down and when you let up.. it CHUGS.. lol
Therefore its a bug that they really need to work out, but havent yet.
It actually does this on a PC also, not just mac. it is just more prevelent on a Mac due to its slower renderiing.

i have been researching this bug lately. had no idea it was because of colour rendering, thanks for the info Donvitoviti.
they haven't fixed it for sure for any of the 1.0 releases.
numbers might make a difference in addressing this issue, post here:
