I have really lousy ringing basic telephone at home and I want to change its tone. Could it be possible_? Could it be possible to tear it down and add some leds to spare parts and make it light instead of ring ?
Does anyone has a clue what I am talkingabout?

wouldn't it be easier just to buy a new one?

ok maybe. I just couldn't find around and I thought it could be done.

You're talking about a homephone / landline aren't you?
You can do all of that and more, although only do it if you have someone who knows what they are doing to supervise......
Basically a phone (while a call is active or while "ready") will havea voltage of something like 48V DC - given your resistance the current which could pass through you will hopefully neither be fatal nor high enough to cause electrolysis of your blood.
When a phone is ringing though it has 100V AC which given your own resistance (let's assume 1000 Ohms) which would result in a current according to Ohms law of 100 milliAmperes...
That is enough that your heart muscle will try to synchronise with the frequency, which is in most countries between 50 and 60 Hertz.... ie your heart will try to beat 50 to 60 times a second!! This makes your blood go like milkshake and is virtually always fatal.
Probably best not to fiddle with your phone unless of course you know what you're doing but then again if you do, why ask.

My phone was ringing the other day so i went to pick it up and got an almighty static electric shock from the phone.
The phone doesn't work now due to this bolt and I'm scared to answer any calls

I'm a swiss-federal-tested-electrical... ™
(no honestly, I am)There are numerous Textbooks available in Switzerland, not sure if you read German or not... (if you read German search for a/b draht that should give you a start)
But really I would strongly advise against DIY when it comes to phones.... the line itself is less critical...
