Does anyone know how to achieve this style with what looks like a glowing sky, nebula thing? I am talking about the main image on this website.

It's just an image of a nebula + starfield partially overlayed on the parking lot image. Mess around with layer options in PS.

here you go:

take a picture from a bright sunny day with a few clouds and blend it (top layer) with the main image (bg layer). you can get that effect in Fireworks MX in 2 secs by importing the brigther picture to the upper layer and apply a "darken" effect in the properties menu to the top layer image.

lol, that's no doubt a stolen image and some sun glare circa 1990.

use the Glowing Sky effect filter from Kai Power Tools

here's an image that could be used (with appropriate blending):
And here are the rules for using it: http://www.nasa.gov/audience/for…

i like the way his portfolio nav is layed out
that whole sky nebula thing is very nopattern'ish (no ?)
- blaw0
it's been said before, but someoddpilot.com has some damn good work.

that glowing stuff showed up way before nopattern. esp matt morgan from justdesing and also prate around 2001 in a much more structured and meaningful way. at least an original one.

2001? Try 1991. ;)

I love newstoday...
I know that didn't help you to achieve this effect, but if I would have been nice, then I wouldn't have fit in!
