The Design for Asia Project was officially launched on Friday and with greater then expected results for a holiday weekend.
This will be the official thread for all those who want to stay abreast of the project.We would appreciate more promotion to the designer communities out there and to post on blogs that aren't necessarily associated with design.
REMEMBER: We still need print suppliers so we need to get the word out.
Thank you to all those who have participated and promoted the project so far. We will be getting into high gear this week as we do not want to waste any more time.

what you should do is start getting donations and legally register it as a Non-Profit. pretty simple actually

We feel that hooking up with an established charity would be the way to go.
It may be something we look into for the future. But right now getting the word out to the designers is the most important part of the project.
With enough of a following a print supplier will not have as much a problem with donating their help.

volumeone just dropped us a line and offered to help. Hopefully the first of many major studios.Within the next few days everyone will know what we are doing and when. This is still the initial promotion stage.

Just wanted to remind everyone that this stage is very important. It's more then just getting everyone willing to help and submit a design.
We need to have a good following so we can make our case to private donators and print suppliers. Cause without that then no one will be creating anything.
So promotion is really what we need right now.

It may just be me, but that flashing red animated target just seems a little too much like a "target" and slightly tasteless. Jeh I'm probably over sentitive - I havn't seen much tasteful graphical representations of the tragedy anywhere.

i'll design whatever.. and if i could be included on any emails regarding the design of the banners and all stuff moving forward that would be awesome!
and whats the big idea again? i had skimmed through the other thread but most of it was people just throwing ideas around.
