Let me know what you think lads. I particularly need ideas for colour and typefaces - so most of it then! Pls ignore the bumfluff text I wrote in3 seconds for each version!!

hmm....what is it for?

I like 'logo 3' > 'image 3' nice colour combo and use of ligatures. I do like 'logo 1' > 'image 4' but don't know how well that would reproduce in all applications, yet I don't know what applications you have to consider so...

very nice - I like image 3 the best. Not 100% about the ogham logo in one colour though, maybe needs a bit of work? I'm seeing the icon in Pan 222, but you've got the colours pretty sewn up I reckon.

Logo 3 > Image 5 but without the shadow. The logo reminds me almost of a brass instrument (french horn or something).

i would round the logo a bit; it's to sharp.. make it look a bit softer on the edges
i do'nt like the typeface ot the title at all : the bold one is really childish, the rest of the logo looks classy and sober.. you should use a more modern sans serif typeface , this one is too bold too.
italic is not nice at all on a typeface for a logo.. that's my opinion of course..

speaking about logo 2 .
i don't like the 2 other at all

i like the typeface of 1 and 3, not really convinced by the symbols yet – like the 'Chocolate brown and viridian hue' of third log. Need to simplify the marques. eg what have hawthornes got to do with DTF?

you freelance?

Thanks for looking lads. The client has chosen logo 2 would you believe (defo the least likely) as a starting point (jaysus). As I thought, I need to work on typeface and colours. The closest was logo 2, image 5 (a total afterthought) so muted colours. The like plume, but 'Pan' is a great type suggestion - any other ideas??
JosimarX - one of my options had to include an irish influence, and the hawthorn is an indigenous Irish tree.

I like the mark on logo 3, but the type treatment is feeling a bit pedestrian - you get nice flowing vibe from the mark - try using the type from logo 1 on logo 3 to give it strength - stick with the earth tones, it makes it feel more premium.

scratch that - if they chose #2. try working on the color schemes a bit. nice work
- save0
try softening the points on logo 2?
- warheros0
logo 3 is superior. ligeratures are great. work on that! NOW!
- spendogg0
I agree with save about the sharpness on logo2 - try giving it a small stroke > round the corners on your stroke > convert outlines to paths. that should give it a nice little bit of roundness, with out loosing the effect - i feel like it is gonna make me bleed.

Stage 2:
http://www.magma.ie/client/theat…What think you?
I had ONE DAY to get stage two ready. the continued brief was - more colour and typeface options for the hawthorn logo; another (!) entirely new logo of my own design; and a logo depicting Ireland's position on a globe (jesus).I tried my best but I can only hope they go for the only real contender - the hawthorn logo - in one of it's states. As usual, I wish I had the final word and not the client.

Im doing some work for a family member in the west of Ireland.. identity work to be exact. Im talking price with him and was wondering what a general starting price was for just a logo mark, no other collateral. In Ireland that is.

3 bits of gold and a willing maiden.

I like the 'plume ' face the best still, but it seems like a step backwards, I liked the first round best. None of the graphic treatments are working for me.

I think 3 is the best (but not sure which variation)
It strikes me as being more traditional and classic and audience for this type of affair will be as conservative as fuck.
