anyone here use it?
where do you get it processed?
- r_gaberz0
you just have to send it to kodak. the processing is included in the price of the film.

Only applies to Kodachrome K40

aye processing is in the price of film- but getting it coverted onto minidv to edit costs a bomb. there are many around - just do a search around your city / area.
its about 1 dollar (AUS) a second of footage i figured out once. (inc film, dev, and transfer)

awesome, since i just bought kodachrome.
i'm not worried about editing it, i have a little projector that i'm going to use and it's just for kicks, at least for now.

try your local jessops or somewhere to get it converted.. or the local media school.
we have just got some back.. will be testing it in the next day or two.
if you have a chance.. look at this now:
http://www.straight8.net/past.ht…best way to get it showcased!

there are loads of little places all over that still stock it. Get hold of Kodak and find out who sells it in your area.
As for converting to DV I found a great bunch of people who are pretty cheap in the UK, I am going to give them a go with all my backlog next month. Fingers crossed....

how much do they charge there soda? any url for them or area?

http://www.bbtec.com/cine2dvd/
is the url gpop, they gave me a quote last year of £70 for 10 50ft reels processed to mini dv tape, which isn't too bad to be honest.

hey that is quite good
do you do many then? much success?

over the last 10 years or so I must of built up quite a collection of stuff... mostly bad, but some footage looks pretty handy.
Problem is my camera is a bit hit and miss at the moment so sometimes it's all a bit bleached out.
I do have some stuff from Angkor in Cambodia I want to get onto dv so I can edit it a bit, that looks good.
The best stuff is from Nepal, it looks fantastic... but my missus shot that so I can't claim it to be mine!

i don't know about where you are but when i've done super8 i had to send it from here in vancouver to a place in toronto. i don't remember where, that was a long time ago.
you can also develop it yourself. i've seen instructions online for hand developing super8 film.
