sorry man.

That's horrible. =\
Im always kinda worried about being let go without warning...I just try to bust my ass at all times, and show my employer that I really want to work here.
Good luck man, at least your not wasting your time at a semi-dream job, now you can find that real-dream job.

Thanks for the kind words.
Its hard to bust your ass when there's not a lot of work. Guess I just need to bust my ass making my new portfolio site.

that really fuckin blows-- I'm sorry. But better times may be ahead

Its always a double edge sword... they let people go without warning, yet they expect a two week notice when you decide to leave.
bitches.

I'm so sorry. But things will get better and new opportunities will present themselves. Good Luck.

jobs where u dont do anything and get to spend that time on yourself are the best. stupid system!

keep the lines open, and try to score yourself some freelance work...don't burn any bridges...if it was only because of lack of work, but they liked ya, then let them know you're available for any extra work if they need to farm it out...also let them know you'd be interested in coming back if the work picks up...
beyond that, just keep your head up, and beef up the ol portfolio...
you'll be ok...this sort of thing happens all the time...

I think tara|gee needs to be the NT Human Resources Director.

I bet 100 bucks that you will get another job soon, and that you will be complaining that there is too much work and that you are overwhelmed.
(did I spell that right? overwhelmed?)

Thanks again everyone for the kind words.
I am gettin my resume together and will beef up my portfolio here shortly.
I've always lived by the mantra "Things happen for a reson." The reason may not be apparent right now but will surface soon and I'll be better for it.

I believe the same thing, snizl. Best of luck.

take it from me...I got let go from my dream job 3 months ago..best thing that ever happened. Things may look grim right now but give it a few months and you will see that things really do happen for a reason.
