Seattle to Austin, 15% paycut for design agency job. Is that really make sense? What would you do?

Would you be relocating to Austin in order to take this job offer? Or are you moving out there regardless and looking for work?

it would be relocating

Well I personally wouldn't consider relocating unless I was gaining a benefit from doing so.
Are there other advantages to making the switch? If not then I would stick it out where you are until something better comes along.

dude... 15% over time is a big cut... Im actually doing the relocating (not state-to-state) thing myself... but like the man said, do it for a good reason.

If I'm not mistaken there is no state tax in Texas --That might be a factor in the lower pay rate.

I'm in Austin, and it seems that a lot of costs are coming down right now. It looks like there's about to be a surplus of downtown residential. For me, it would hinge on the caliber of the studio.
