well...heres another one....
So back in september i got a job through a friend to do 2 posters and a shop fascia sign, they told me they wanted it all completed in 3 weeks and so i agreed.....as the 3 weeks drew to a close i felt i had finished all the items...however they scrapped the ideas i gave them and kept changing their minds on the work.
Each revision of the work i emailed bk for them to look at but it was taking them weeks on end to give feedback to me!
And so to today...i finished it all and emailed back last week and heard nothing back so my friend got in touch with them and asked them to check their email...and so today they sent a reply basicaly sayin that i had lost the job because i was trying to get intouch with them for feedback and they are too busy ("if i have 500 things to do you are 490ish, so i dont need your hassle")!!
So wot the hell can i do now? im still entitled to be paid for the items whether they have scrapped the idea or not right?
bearing in mind i have spent months on this!i still have all emails and logs of contact between myself and them....
any help with this would be great!

shouldn't work without any contract and signature. rule #1, unless you don't need to get paid.
record all communication, keep all memos, emails.

ALL work should have:
1- Contract
2- Non - refundable deposit, to cover the work up to a certain pointhope you learned your lesson.

KILL FEES...
Interestingly enough the same problem just happened to me for a CD layout job...the client balked on all the designs I sent him for the bands logo...Then all of a sudden they started coming at me with, "well, we're sort of looking at this other designer's work...soooo...maybe...we'll call you back in a bit..."
FUCK!!!
Always geta contract signed that sets a KILL FEE, which basically means that you get compensated even if they don't chooose your art...
I lost about 200$, luckily it wasn't too big of a job, nor one where I liked the clent all that much...
