i saw a documentary recently about that windfarm.
about 80% of that windmills is not functioning because they're shipped for repair
and they only supply electricity in 10% of the year or so.
because in the seasons you need the electricity there is not that much wind (summer because airconditioners, and in winter because heating, light etc).
i've heard it is a complete failure.

Blofeldt - Nykobing Fallster
I didn't realise it was a failure stewart....

Yeah. Nuclear power. Cos that's really safe innit.
I'd rather burn rainforests.

===================It's a far better option than fossil fuels, and considering ecological catastrophe is just around the corner, probably our best hope in the short term.
- MX_OnD0
And now over to professor Kuz to hear how his bottypen power experiments are coming on....
- Kuz0
lol....
those experiments were purely for sexual gratification.. as well you know ;)

ah now, waste with a half-life of hundreds or thousands of years is hardly short-term. Nuclear will be part of any future energy policy but should be in the context of managing our 'nuclear legacy'.
- Kuz0
No i mean, until we can develop sustainable fuels and get people to give up this consumerist energy addiction and make shit more efficient etc... We're gonna have to go nuclear to deal with the impending shock of India and China. I don't see any other solutions in the short term.
Maybe i'm getting paranoid cos there's been a spate of global catastrophe programmes on TV, but for once in my life i'm waking up to the environment shit and no longer relying on the "we've just come out of an ice age" argument.
- MX_OnD0
indeed but the idea is sound....
where there is vigorous motion electricity can be generated....
with the amount of wankers there are in London, it could surely power Europe, no?
*jestin' ya

Haha... but the dangers of hooking "those" areas up to voltage...

you can buy a a VW with TDi engine and get it converted to run on cooking oil and grease. it's just as effecient as the turbodiesel and torquey. you can get any grease that restaurants and diners throw away for free.
- Kuz0
mmmm, very intriguing MX.. new realms of pleasure! eugggghhhh!
- MX_OnD0
Would OnanEnergy be measured in MegaWanks?
- Kuz0
lol
stop it Mx, people are starting to stare at me laughing at work all the time.
