i guess they sell "factory variants" which are basically fakes. I don't mind buying fakes cuz then i won't have the guilt of wearing them and messing thems up.

i travel to mainland china every3 months, i see fake kicks everywhere...there is even a knock-off mall where you can get every single branded accessory knocked off.
i bought a few fake adidas kicks that you can only find in japan(the real ones) they are ok, but a lot of people instantly recognized they were fake, and its not screaming fake either...i guess it depends on how you feel on how others precieve you...for me i dont care...fake real all the same cept for boobies...i like em real.
another thing is fake kiks break down real fast...so be careful.

i prefer real ones. although i have had a few fake ones as well. you can totally tell fake ones though.

i never had any issues bringing knock-off anything across the border...you just have to make sure that you dont bring the opposites sex knock-off items e.g. if you are a d00d dont bring home knock-off handbags...thats a red flag for sure.
