I've got some problems unsiting a sit file. It sais 'bad name error' I tried to upgrade to the latest stuffit, didn't help. I've unpacked it once at another computer though so i know that the file isn't corrupt. what should i do?

try find some repair software for .sit /.sitx .. can't remember the name of it..

i tried renameing it... but as i said i tried on a brand new imac and it worked.. can it be somekind of OS thing? i'm on osx 10.3.4.

hmmm, could be.
although i have not yet done it, i've heard the 10.3.7 upgrade is painless.

for some reason EVERY machine in our office cannot launch stuffit today and all .sit files are coming out corrupted...
and the stuffit ftp site isnt responding..

actually here too.. wtf! maybe it's the pirate versions that got zapped by the company

I'm sure you've probably tried, but have you dropped it on your 'Stuffit Expander' alias or have you just been double-clicking it. I've had error messages before just from double-clicking the archive, but then when I drop it on 'expander' and it's been fine.
