I am wrapping up a small site for a landscape architect and am getting this freaking "blinking" bullshit going on when areas are loading.
> I am running Flash 7 player on Safari on Mac
Any ideas?

thanks for taking a peep. that is wierd cuz i get a blink on 2 machines and on a third one i looked at, it doesn't blink....
the external clips are super small too, so i dunno.
thanks nonetheless!

i viewed your example.. elegant... but i do not see the blinking... in fact runs smooth and faster in safari than ie... it could be a memory issue; if so, to help avoid that experience, optimize the jpegs in the presentation... i do know that flash will always blink with white when loading... and it is more noticeable on slower processors, platforms, or just a bogged down environment.

wow - thanks for the props! "dialog" is not up yet, but will be in the next week or so.

What is the font you use for headers here?
- jevad0
very nice
photography is a bit weak though - very flat light and colour

shaft - the font for headers is ITC Conduit
i think the client actually used a 20-dollar digicam for the shots. a few of the projects were shot professionally, but yes, in general, they are kind-of blah....

I would highly recommend you tell him to get better shots - esp if you are using them that big - the poor lighting really takes away from the brilliance of the designs....
but a really great site

"the font for headers is ITC Conduit"
It looks like "fresh DIN".
I once saw it on Barnes&Noble site and it took me some time to identify it.
I didn't recognize it on your site at first either, it looked to me like one of these ISO technical fonts, but a bit more "civilian". Like civilian version of Hummer ;)

using is slowing things down a bit on my machine... mac osx/safari...
