New York is amazing, got back yesterday from a 4 day trip and even though it was freezing and wet, we loved every minute of it!!

I can relate to that.
I had afour day trip last year and loved it. I'm desperate to go back - just waiting for a good deal to appear.
I walked alll over Manhatten and met some cool people. Including a pimp in Lincoln park called Spilt Milk - inspirational fella.
would love to go back and the other bouroughs and maybe explore more of the states.

Try Off SoHo Sweats, Rivington Street. Its just of the Bowery. Really cool area

we had 4 nights there last year...sheer magic.
the folk were the friendliest i think i have ever encountered.
we just did art and jazz
we stayed at the quality hotel, basic but cheap, near central park and we walked to the museums

cheap .....well unless you only want to sleep 4 hours at a time.... most places are more then $100.... my suggestion is stay in jersey and commute....there is this place around 50th and 10th but I dont know the name....heard the rates might be ok...

regarding some cheap hotel, i've heard Hotel 17 is a decent place. it's actually only a few blocks away from where i live.
