I can't stand women who, with lightning quick precision, switch from spanish to english to spanish in the course of one sentance.
Was in the elevator today with two such women. Why do people do this? Knife wounds are probably less painful.

sometimes it is to get you, other times it just happenes due to their own inability to saty with one language as they speak.
If I speak english to you I saty with english.

What I don't get is why the english words they often interject are such simple words. It will be a real fast spanish sentance, then "and then girl he said" and back to complex spanish.

they are having the equivalent of a hard drive hickup when requesting data. a good swift kick to their head would have fixed the problem.

imo, it's about speed and grabbing the words that flow faster, there is humour, timing and emphasis evolved, one could also say it's based on limited english/spanish skills. there are also a dozen or more different variations of spanish and cultures so it' might be, just throwing english in to the pile of words makes it even easier. si or no?

HAHAHA, so true. People that are forced to adapt to English. Kind of funny. I had the same experience with Afrikaans. English-Afrikaans-English and Finnish-English-Finnish. lol

I speak Franglish.
Only because I can understand French really well (you sort of have to in Canada) but I prefer speaking English most of the time. I enjoy taking French classes because of the crazy French teachers.
