Im trying to make a clipping mask with multiple shapes in the middle of the outer clipping mask(motorcycle mag wheel). I got it to work once I thought by making the outside shape and the inside shapes as compound paths and bring them all to front and then making the clipping mask seemed to work at first but when i tried again it didnt work? ...hopefully somebody can understand what im tryin to say

sounds like a job for photoshop. And then when you're done, go:
Export: Paths to Illustrator. Then it'll be vector and editable. word.
