i joined AIGA. they offer some discount on the health insurance. still pretty expensive though.

i'm actually married, and i'm covered by the wife's insurance. So i'm the wrong person to ask, sorry.
But I just checked the rates at mediabistro, and they seem kinda high (for those in NYC). It's just an option that should be considered.

yeah, i saw that too.
if it was significantly cheaper, i would switch from Oxford, but i guess it's not that much better.all these expenses... sometimes, freelance is bitch.

just got Blue Cross in CA. if you are a single non smoking male in good shape it costs about 70 bones a month for solid coverage.
