Sure enough, the lead story on the local CTV affiliate is about the snow and the "commuter chaos" it's causing. Five minutes and counting.
Tres drole.

"Another 13 inches fell overnight - giving us nearly 2 feet of powder in the past couple days and nearly 3 feet from this storm! More to come this weekend!"

speaking of snow...where am i? I am on the eastcoast in January and it has been nothing but rain and 50 degree - effin' days. Was hoping for a flake of snow sometime soon.
The year without a winter in pittsburgh!

We are halfway through a snow storm. So far, 22 inches in the valley (where i am), it's still snowing. Plus they are expecting another 4-10 tonight. The storm isn't supposed to let up until Monday night.
On the news, they are showing apartment complexes with collapsed carports throughout town. A United Rentals warehouse collapsed.
So far, Tahoe has over 4 feet of new snow, but unless you were there before things got bad, most of the roads are closed and you can't get there anyway.

When is the canal opening? I can't wait to skate to school. Seriously, that's what students do at CU. We take the bus to the bridge, get off, and then skate for about 15 minutes to get to classes.
