so i am trying to get together some kind of ecommerce solution for a clothing line. the site is based pretty much in flash. i have heard good things about flex, but from the looks of it it costs like $12k?! wtf! i am trying to accomplish something kinda like these sites:

Hi, I work for a company that is involved with the distribution of flex. It's pitched at a pretty high level, so it may be a bit overkill for what you want to do. unfortunatly, i have no experience of e-commerce work, so I can't help you out on the advice front. Sorry

I developed a store which could be vastly expanded at http://www.loopkit.com using MIVA and PayPal. Cost us $150 to set up and $30 per month. We easily made back that money in a flurry. Tee sales, from a business venture perspective. Avoid it.

well its not just tees, those are mostly promotional items, sort of. we hope to develop quite a range of products, but i know what you mean, everyone and their dog has a 'clothing line' that just sells tees
