1) I call about getting Studio MX box shipped to me and ask if I can have both the box and the download. They say I can get the box and just use the trial versions. Well my trial period is over so they tell me to register with a different email account. Do they even know how their own trial version work??
2) I buy the Studio MX 2004 Pro upgrade online and download.
3) The executable for Dreamweaver isn't zipped properly (I can't believe it doesn't work).
4) I call them up and they tell me to download the trial version of it instead and just enter my reg code.
5) I am then forced to register again with MM in order to download the trial and they keep re-checking the box that says I want emails from them.
I'm going to invoice them for the hour and a half I've spent buying their software....

no lemme ask this, this so-called Macromedia Rant, is it v1.0?
- nosaj0
v1.0? Meaning the 1st trouble I've had with them?
- JazX0
nope as in I'm being a complete smart-ass. ;)

Actually, in all seriousness, Macromedia is a bit disorganized IMO. Multiple times I've had problems installing and their applications accepting Serial #'s. The process you are going through is BS, call them up and ask to speak to the head manager or wait for them to call you. I was using RoboHelp from them and it was buggy as all hell.

You would think that there would be a high level of empahsis put on ensuring people are comfortable buying their products online.
Whatever - it's their business they can run it how they like. I can envision them paying millions to have external consultants analyzing there business and making plans for the most optimal earnings... but no one thought to tell them the installers they sell should work.

personally, i prefer to download the trials and crack them using serials i find on IRC.
haven't had a problem yet.

this should be macromedia rant v.20 or something more accurate. making apps that actually work well would have been v.1 *basing my opinions on anything "MX" for mac

use one of MM's afilliates, the one and only...

*pulls on whole body bulletproofs
Phone them back and tell them you need a "trial extension serial number" this will extend the trial for 30 more days.
The trial is the full version just without a serial number.
