the most important factor (if you do any documentation) is to get PMs/AMs/AEs involved in the process.
the most annoying thing is one AM ask me a question. i provide the answer. only to have another AE ask me the same question.
giving them a chance to share their knowledge with their peer definitely reduces my *waste of time* count.

I am liking the idea of the online knowledge base more and more.. it eliminates the wasted response factor like you mentioned, graf. Also, it allows me to write things out and categorize, someone asks a question, they get a LINK to a direct response...

So basically, you want to have Project Management software that is going to allow your PMs to learn and be in dirct touch with your Dev Team. So, that they don't sounds f*cking stupid with your clients. Pardon my French.

jaz, yep. I think we are going to set up an in-house knowledge base where all of the employees are expected to post to it when they learn something new..
Let everyone learn by being in a situation where they DONT know the answer and have to seek it out.

yeah, we use basecamp and love it.. but it sucks for knowledgebase.. great fro project management
