When I'm ill I have puzzle dreams... I've got flu (or something that is making me feel completely shit) at the moment...
And last night I dreamt of a building made of giant white spheres, and the gaps between these spheres all stacked were really bothering me! Also I was trying to work out the space these gaps were taking up... For which I have obviously no idea how to do.... Grrr!!!

In my experience the ideas that come to me during that state always seem so perfect, and if by chance I actually remember them the next day, when I start working them out, I realize how shit they were.
I find even if you're thinking about how you're gonna deal with some situation the next day, it always seems so clear and easy at the time, but when the morning arrives I never feel the same way I did the night before??
To me it's a lot like brainstorming at the pub, it seems great at the time, but the next day it's like, wtf was I thinking!?

the sense of loss experienced after missing an opportuniy to jot down those fleeting ideas is the worst thing about waking up.

yeah stewart, I get full songs in my head or riffs/loops and then I try and get them out. Mostly change-ups and choruses.

I had an operation last year and I hallucinated a long poem about string theory, they were giving me Delaudin (msp) intravenously for pain which I could control with a button. The poem played over and over in my head but I couldn't write it down because of all the tubes hooked to my arms. When I got home, I wrote what I remembered and caught up on the newspapers - the first story I read was about a String Theory discovery

crazy donbrewer...
on the music topic, have any of you guys done this before... you're hearing a song in your dream or something, and then you hear a loud part of the song that wakes you up and you realize it was a door slaming or something. but it was part of the song in your dream, even though it woke you up. it seems weird how it could be part of a song and fit so perfectly into the song, even though it was someone randomly slamming a door.

that happens to me sometimes, especially when i least expect it.
lately i've been racking my mind thinking of a new layout/scheme for my new site. a couple nights ago (after not thinking about it for a while) i visualized the site, and all the animations, etc.
when i woke up i only very vaguely remembered everything, but it's slowly starting to come back to me in bits and pieces
