and stated "We will endeavor to work with the recipient agencies to ensure that the aid is utilized to the greatest benefit of those in need."BTW, It is interesting to hear the admin costs of organizations like the Red Cross.

At first I didn't really want to tell anyone I donated based on the Christian idea of not letting even the left hand know what the right hand is doing. Although I think your right in a case like this it is good to tell people to inspire others to do the same.

this is a very interesting article, which relates to organisation and administration and why it's needed. NO it REALLY is interesting, it IS!!

i am short right now...post-christmas, getting hitched and buying a house...so i only sent $50 to the red cross.
in a month or so i'll send as much as i can...i couldn't imagine not sending anything.
i do think the red cross is the safest, but even if they do pocket a percentage, at least the victims will get something.
