Hi. I'm new to this community. Any suggestions for a nice meal in London? Think romance.

can't help with the restaurant recommendation, but i can say 'welcome'.
some nice photos on your site, too.

Give me an area.
Nort London - Halepi in Belsize park - modern greek - fucking fantastic

Hey Jevad, which "Park". Or is that a suburb?
- hemingda0
Area?
I work in Soho. Live in Islington. Area is completely open. Maybe Italian?
- jevad0
It's a suburb - on teh eastern branch of the northern line - jsut before hampstead.
we lived in belsize park for a couple years before moving to hampstead - there are a slew of great places to eat all around both areas that don;t suffer from tourist overcrowding

Cool. I got a hotel right near Russell Square. I believe it was you (jevad) that recommended that spot.
Where else do you go to blend in with the locals?

Dunno about romance... but I went to a really great Indian place a week ago. It's called the "Delhi Brasserie"
44 Frith St.
Soho, London

+1 MLVR!!!
How did you like that area Guilt?
The way london is set up it's very easy to blend in with the locals without even knowing it....

i live across the street from arsenal. literally. it's a great place if you were raised to worship the team...or if you like hotdogs. personally, this whole "football thing" is new to me.
i'm an american.
"oh. the horror". i know.

this is a great restaurant for romance

If your thinking romantic then there are some great option, Rocket off of Bond St. (Italian, ask for a booth) / Escargot on Frith St. in SoHo or maybe Zilli's on Dean St. in SoHo.....
All are very good....If ur propsing then try the OXO Tower Restuarnt, greta view, exceallnt food and service.... Pre-booking aweek or so is defintaely required for most good restuarnts in London...
Enjoy

thanks so much.
i've actually been to gallipolli bazaar and it's quite good, too.
it's a great place for a large party or something like that!

I Live in Islington too. Gallipoli is great. There is a French restaraunt called Mercurry a bit further down Upper st, wich is also good.
The best for a romantic meal is the top floor of TATE MODERN. I took my girlfreind there and she loved it
