Does anybody know the best settings for using Photoshop on two screens with a PC.
Everything seems to be fine except i'm unable to drag a document outside of the work area of my primary screen. My pallettes will go over to my second screen, just not any of my working files...
is there a setting for this that i'm unaware of?
thanks in advance!

why do you need to drag your work area to the other screen?

a few reasons, but generally i would just like to be able to, as i have extra room over there. other times, i'll use my secondary monitor at 800x600 to see how things are fitting. and my secondary is a CRT while my primary is a LCD so I like to see how the color and contrast differ between both screens...

i dont think you can, the main window is whatever screen you opened it, hence the space where you can have the picture that is open.
so ive found with my experience anyways.

i figured that might be the case... but hoped it wasn't.
i suppose that's an advantage the mac has over the pc

Yeah thats the only problem with photoshop and multiple monitors: you can't move a document out of the first screen it opens on.
I like to move all my tool bars to the other two monitors I have, so that on my 19" all I have is the document. So until you can move documents around, thats your only option.

i'm able to move my documents from screen to screen on my pc. just expand your PS work area (the grey background). works just like any other program (AE, Flash, etc..) although, i'm working from 2 of the exact same size and res monitors so it'll drag nicely, not one that's a lot smaller, which i think it would have a prob with).

expanding your work area to both screens is fine, as long as your screens are level. if you've adjusted the position of the screens in Display Properties, that won't work right. personally, i like a huge layers palette, so my 2nd monitor is taken up mainly by palettes. although i would definately like to have that freedom. mac takes the cake on managing screen space the best.

You need to set your 2nd monitor to be like just 1 big monitor with your 1st.
