From reading the posts i'm getting mixed reviews of godaddy.com's hosting. thought i'd throw it out there because it seems like alot of people have used them.

I use them for domains, no experience of their hosting though.

Ditto. I can only speak for domain registration, which is fairly painless.

Their domain registration is easy and painless. Hosting, however, is terrible.
I suggest either http://www.angryhosting.com or http://www.tilted.com/

I hosted with them for quite some time, didn't have any noteworthy problems. That being said, I would recommend:
