That's right. I said it! "Cable Management"! See? I said it again!
How do you all hide the cable in your home? I have the DVD player, Cable box, speakers, etc all wires hanging out the bloody back and it just looks awful. Any tips?

goto home depot and buy a replacement vacuum hose and slice the side of it and out your cables indside, cleans them up a bit.

wrap them up.

word to that. ikea sells that stuff pre-cut as well. tie off excess cord length with a zip-tie or a rubberband. make sure the power cords cross the signal cords at a 90ยบ angle so you don't pick up any interference as well.

I've tried that in the past mrdob but it still always looks bad since that cover can only cover a couple of inches because I have speakers on opposing ends of the TV stand and so thie cover can only start in the middle and ends before the power strip.

i usually set up a room so the stereo/tv are against a wall so you dont really get to see back there...

invisible ink.
paint the wires with it. should work. don't get any on your hands though or else you'll look like a no handed freakazoid.

rolls and rolls of that cable tie velcro stuff. ive organized fleets of computers with this stuff when i worked in a media lab. i use it now at home for everything. super clean and re-usable...unlike zip ties which you have to bust out the clippers for.

velcro ties get way too dusty over time.

a great way to conceal speaker wires is to buy that gummy shit that you hang posters with, speaker wire sticks to it n9icely and you can hide it well, without f-ing up the surface it is sticking to.

I'm only satisfied once it's so tangled around my calico cat that her fur and the black cables are totally merged into this spontaneous, camoflauged mass of life and technology.
